Camp Scholarship

It is the expressed intention of the St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church Ladies Circle, that no child be denied a Camp DeWolfe summer experience due to financial reasons. A special fund has been created for this purpose and scholarships are available to individual campers.

Important note regarding the process:
Because scholarships are awarded AFTER camp registration begins, we reserved a few spaces for scholarship campers. Once scholarships are awarded, it is first-come, first-served in accepting the scholarships. The reserved spaces for scholarship campers WILL fill-up quickly.

How many weeks of camp may I apply to attend?
Families may be awarded 100% for a one-week overnight camp session ONLY.

Scholarship Guidelines

  • St. Andrew’s Mastic Beach Scholarships are awarded to young people who live in Brooklyn or Queens. 
  • Scholarships are awarded irrespective of race or gender.
  • Scholarship will be awarded for one week only. Families will be responsible for the second week of camp tuition if the camper selects a two-week camp session.
  • Scholarships are funded on a first-come, first served basis. Funding is limited, so apply early.
  • Write an essay “Why do I want to go to camp this summer?” This essay should be no longer than two pages double-spaced.
  • We will notify you, as soon as we can, regarding the status of your application.
